One really good reason to have a YouTube channel is to give your audience more content.  Even if you are already posting video onto social media and your website, having a YouTube channel allows you a FREE platform to spread your wealth of knowledge.  When people get a lot of good content that is solving their problems, they stay longer and like to come back and visit more often. 

  1. Establishes Your Brand and Identity

Having video someplace else gets your brand out there in another location which starts to grow the level of awareness and expertise that you have.  You should make sure your YouTube channel mirrors your brand on your website and social channels.  Also, be sure to include your link to your YouTube channel on your signature line. 

  1. Builds a Closer Personal Connection

There is no mistaking the challenges we’ve all had over the past year connecting with others.  The pandemic certainly put up a HUGE barrier, but video allows you to still build a connection. One thing we have noticed with video is it encourages a level of familiarity that helps with building a community. You can create a much more personal connection with people and let them get to know you and see how you act/react to certain situations. There is something about watching a video where you can feel like you are with somebody working on a problem.

Video is just so hot right now! One of the big reasons to add video is because your borrowers and realtors want it!  You can be seen as “the expert” by doing a weekly video and YouTube gives you the platform to easily post it.   Plus, it is so easy to re-purpose your video onto various platforms.  Shoot it once and distribute it to many. 

  1. Get Outside Your Comfort Zone

One of the best things about video is that it really pushes you outside your comfort zone. Adding video will help you feel like you are creating some of your best content and hopefully solving your audience’s problems with your video series.

If you don’t already have a YouTube Channel, consider getting one.  It is easy to create and will definitely help you to provide educational videos for your borrowers and realtors!
