You don’t necessarily need two microphones unless multiple people will be appearing on each episode; however, if there are multiple speakers then it is recommended that each person has their own microphone for optimal sound quality and clarity. Additionally, when selecting microphones make sure that they are compatible with whatever recording software you choose as different mics require different connections and settings on the software side of things. 

When it comes to recording software, there are plenty of options available ranging from free versions like Audacity to professional versions like Adobe Audition—so make sure to do some research before making any decisions as this could affect the sound quality of your recordings down the line! But again, if budget is an issue, then free programs like Audacity can be just as effective when used correctly since they offer many of the same features as their professional counterparts such as effects processing and noise reduction tools which come in handy during post-production editing stages of podcasting.   

Hosting Services 

Once all of your content is recorded and edited using whatever recording software program you choose, it must be uploaded somewhere so that others can access it online. This is where hosting services come into play—they provide an easy way for podcasters upload audio files without having too much technical know-how required on their part (which makes them incredibly user-friendly!). Popular hosting services include SoundCloud, Podbean, Spreaker amongst others – all have both free and paid plans depending on budget constraints so make sure to explore those options before making any commitments!
