In July 2021, Ginger Bell spoke at a conference in Salt Lake City, UT. Her topic was video marketing. Danny Ruiz attended that conference and saw Ginger speak. He approached Ginger after the conference and asked if she could help him produce videos in Spanish. He had been doing videos periodically, but not regularly and he needed help. Ginger was excited to hear about Danny’s interest in creating Spanish videos, because there are not a lot of Spanish videos to help consumers understand the mortgage process. Every month Ginger would meet with Danny online to discuss what topics he should make his videos about. She would record his videos and then her team would edit and produce the videos and post them onto his social media channels. Danny started getting business from the videos and decided he wanted to expand into posting videos on TikTok. In November 2021, Danny started posting videos on TikTok. It didn’t take long before he was actually getting business from his videos. In 2022, Ginger suggested Danny share what he had learned about creating mortgage TikTok videos in a book and that is how this book came about. Danny Ruiz is a loan originator in the mortgage industry. In 2005 while completing his bachelor’s degree at the University of Puerto Rico he got started in the mortgage industry as a mortgage representative. He was 20 years old at the time.
